Once upon a time...

a lady named Leena lived in the land of Band Flats East. She loved her friends and neighbors dearly and decided to have a BBQ beatdown.
 
The day came and went without a hitch with Hida at the grill and Sir Jynx in charge of ditching. Friends from all over came hungry and ready to beat people. Beatings were had, food was devoured, it was a glorious day!
 
Seasons have passed and the moon and stars are realligning. Leena thinks back with fondness to that day and hopes for another day of friendship, sportsmanship, feasting, and beating. So, a call is being made now through the air, across the lands to all her friends from BFE, CG, GC, and anywhere else! Friends from far and near will hear:
 
Hear ye! Hear ye! Leena's BBQ Beatdown 2 is on its way!
 
Join me at Brecknock Park from noon til sundown on March 7th for a day of ditching with a BBQ! We'll throw in a battle game or two to break things up so come on over for the second Beatdown of your lives! 
 
There's no need to bring anything as a menu of brats and burgers with drinks, salads, desserts, and all the fixin's is already planned. If you would like to bring something, though, it would be appreciated! Please try to let me know in advance if possible so I can have a wide variety of foods available.
 
Rellik will be leading in the ditching as Champion while Hida will be happy to cook your meat. Hida would also like to help out with a battle game and have some fun hanging out so if someone is willing to take a shift on the grill it will be greatly appreciated. Reeves as extra eyes to help with the crowd on the field will also be a great help.
 
Due to the bad weather during Coronation I'll also have a short Court in order to fulfill the formalities from Coronation, too. This will allow everyone to sit down and enjoy the BBQ while awards are given out before hitting the field again.
 
Come one, come all! It'll be a knockout!

Yes, my dear brother, I'll make hoagies on a stick and I'll save some just for you. One condition, you and Kat have to spend Saturday night for some alcohol, the "I've never" game along with Rockband and other video games again. (I think y'all will like Burn Out Revenge! I'll play that!)

[March 7th]

Sorry, people. Due to the anticipated snow coming once, maybe even twice this week I'm letting everyone know now that we are using the Rain/Snow date of March 7th to allow time for us to find the ground again.

So, let's get the RSVPs rollin'!

Leena and Hida will still be there! (4-5 of us)

If anyone else is planning on bringing any food to the bbq please post or call/text me at 302-242-5639 so I prevent duplicates on what others are bringing.

As it stands currently Leena and I are providing hamburgers, bratwursts(of various types) rolls and condiments.  We will attempt to fill in the gaps, if any, from what everyone else says they will bring.  Remember, it is not required to bring food or money, but any help will be greatly appreciated.

I know this should have been posted earlier.  Leena said she would, but things got extremely hectic at work for her and I'm still getting used to being the stay at home dad and organizer.

OK. So it looks like the menu is like this:

Hamburgers
Bratwursts(of various types)
Rolls
Condiments: ketchup, A1, mayo, relish, two types of mustard
Applesauce
Cole slaw (gotta have fruits and veggies!!)
Pasta Salad
Hoagies on a stick

Potato salad- Mono
Baked macaroni and cheese- Piper
Pineapple upside down cake- Piper


My RSVPs so far are:

Hida, Leena, Sylvia, Squirrelly, Straicar, Aisling, Caddoc, Sionnac, Mono, Piper, Rellik, Katrina, Zam, Haze, Missy, & 2 others with them. I'll update this as I hear further. So, as of right now I have about 20 ppl.

The girls are helping me make it.  And they're in too. Also, they're taking it over! They decided they wanted to after I move!

*sniff* So....proud....

Now to figure out where to put the stuff! *sigh* (thinking about all the stuff that Hida just threw out from the shed to make room) I knew this all along so it's no problem. I just have to break the news to Hida. At least he has time to make those arrangements, lol.

It's not too much stuff. A couple of utensils, the warmers, a tray....we're still building, remember?  I'll probably donate stuff before I leave.

Thats why we're getting a bigger damn shed.
